The oldest Episcopal church building in Vermont, restored and maintained by the Christ Church Guilford Society.
Get married in Vermont
Have all your dreams come true
The splendor of green hills and the mountain shadows
All reasons to plan your greatest day in the village of Guilford in the green state of Vermont
Weddings and Civil Unions conducted at this site have been traditional sectarian as well as non-denominational. While eminently quiet and private, it is readily convenient for guests and wedding party. A reception next to the wedding? There is space for this. Ask us. Let's talk.
Consider this beautiful 1817 restored church in southeastern Vermont. We have seating for almost 200, excellent acoustics for speaking and music, plenty of room for flowers. The entrance steps and handrails have recently been rebuilt (no ADA ramp however, to preserve the historical facade). Sufficient parking on the grounds.
Christ Church Guilford Society Inc was formed a number of years ago to preserve and administer Christ Church. This group, with donations, proceeds from benefit concerts by generous musicians, and event rentals, has repaired and restored this building to its current lovely condition.
This website is being constructed and updated hour by hour, most recently June 1, 2005. This is only the beginning. We're planning to have lots of good pictures, inside & out, plenty of information, and an up-to-date calendar showing reserved dates, concert dates, dates of Lessons & Carols and other Episcopal Church services. Suggestions welcomed (really!). Contact Neil Quinn, or for open dates, fees, etc, phone George Lewis at 802-254-4839.
